Flathead Sled Dog Days

Yesterday Dad, Nora, Thor and I went up to Olney (18 miles past Whitefish)  to watch the Flathead Sled Dog Days. I went up to be Brandi's handler in the 4-dog 4-mile race. It was fun to see Brandi!  It is SO cool to see all of the dogs fired up to go. I loved seeing about 300 the dogs howling and barking (yes, it was LOUD). Also, at the race Doug Swingley was racing! Those who don't know who Doug Swingley is, he is a five time Ididarod champion! And... I remembered to bring the camera!

I don't know who this is...

Brandi's team finishing!

Yay Brandi!

There were some ADORABLE Malamute puppies at the race!

After all of the teams were in, Brandi and I took Tank, Thor, Nora, Isis, and one of Aiyana's really good lead dogs out sledding. We went 7 and a half miles. I had such a fun time taking a team of four puppies and a really good lead dog out. It was also fun having a long talk with Brandi. I can't wait until next weekend for the Darby Dog Derby! It will be my first race! YAY!
