I am happy to say my team got second place (out of two people...hehe) in Stanley Sled Dog Rendezvous, novice, 6 dog, 20 mile this weekend! My team was Pace and Brock (two dogs I borrowed from a friend) Tank, Shila, Nora and Thor. Thor and Pace were my leaders. They all did great considering it was 60-65(F) while we were racing! It was way to hot for them so we just went slow. Plus I had to scratch Nora for two reasons: 1. It was way too hot. 2. She is a slacker. She refused to run after about 4 miles and she kept tangling up the team. The second day was better because we started two hours earlier (counting the time change) so it was about 45 degrees during the race.
The weekend was SO fun! Definitely a race I want to go to next year! I am so proud of my Thor! He did awesome in lead!

I am sad the dog sledding season is coming to an end, but at least I have next year to look forward to. So watch out for a musher-wannabe and her two crazy huskies!
